Autism Partners
Make Waves supports Autism Society of America in its mission to empower the Autism community to live fully. Make Waves funding supported the following efforts:
Shipped 50k masks to Autism Society affiliates nationwide, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Supported federal advocacy and education campaigns.
For 3 years, funded the employment program to advocate, educate and build inclusive employer opportunities.
Make Waves supports Els for Autism, as it helps Autistic individuals and their families have a better life.
Funded U Can Employ to partner with employers to design , implement, and sustain Autism inclusive workplace practices.
The Work Experience Program provides On the Job Training (OJT) in the local municipality, healthcare, or hospitality industries.
The Adult Day Training Program is designed for those who primary needs are for socialization, recreation, pre-vocational skills, and community involvement.
Make Waves is a longterm donor to First Place, a residential community that serves as a replicable model, offering supportive housing and skill-building for adults with Autism and/or IDD. Make Waves has supported:
Annual scholarships to First Place Phoenix’s Transition Academy - a two-year program to build crucial independent living and career skills.
Funded its 360 Health & Wellness cohort to move forward two complementary initiatives: activation of the on-site Virginia G. Piper Health Spot clinic and a Creighton Medical School elective.
A $1mm gift supported the Make Waves Center for Community Development focuses on advancing supportive housing models for Autistic adults, with multiple community openings in the last four years.

Autism Speaks is dedicated to creating an inclusive world for all individuals with Autism throughout their lifespan. They achieve this through advocacy, services, supports, research and innovation, and advances in care for the Autism community.

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society exists because there are people living with MS. It is leading a worldwide effort to cure MS.
MS affects people of all ages, genders and ethnic backgrounds, but is three times more common in women than men.

Emergency Response
Feeding America’s mission is to advance change in America by ensuring equitable access to nutritious food for all in partnership with food banks, policymakers, supporters, and the communities they serve. Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Feeding America network of over 200 food banks served 42 million people and 6 billion meals were distributed across America.
